Workshops to strengthen your group’s mindset

Bring evidence-based mental skills training directly to your barn, team, or riding program. My workshops provide riders with practical tools they can use immediately—from managing competition nerves to building confidence after setbacks to developing consistent performance under pressure. Whether you're a barn owner looking to support your competitive riders, a coach wanting to integrate mental skills into your program, or a team preparing for championship season, customized workshops deliver focused training that strengthens both individual performance and team culture.

Popular workshop topics include: competition preparation and anxiety management, goal setting for competitive riders, overcoming fear and building confidence, mental skills for consistent performance, and supporting young riders (parent and coach editions).

Ready to give your riders the mental edge? Let's design a workshop that fits your team's needs.

Formatted to fit your group’s needs

Workshops can be delivered online via video platform or on-site at your barn or facility, depending on what works best for your group. Online workshops provide convenient access for geographically dispersed teams or busy schedules, while on-site sessions allow for more personal connection and the opportunity to integrate training directly into your barn environment.

Each workshop is tailored to your group's specific needs, experience level, and goals. I work with you to determine the right format—whether that's a more traditional presentation style with Q&A, an interactive experiential session with practice exercises and group discussion, or a blend of both approaches. The format depends on your group size, topic, and learning objectives.

Workshops typically run 60 minutes to 2 hours for a single session, though multi-week series and half-day intensive formats are also available for groups wanting deeper skill development over time.

My teaching approach

I aim to make every workshop engaging, accessible, and immediately useful. My teaching style is friendly and personable—I want participants to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and being honest about their challenges. I break down complex psychological concepts into digestible, practical takeaways that riders can actually use, avoiding academic jargon in favor of clear, relatable explanations. I incorporate visuals, examples from equestrian sport, and additional resources participants can reference after the workshop ends. My goal is for everyone to walk away with at least one new insight, strategy, or tool they can apply right away—whether that's a breathing technique for managing nerves, a reframing strategy for negative self-talk, or a structured approach to goal setting. Learning should feel relevant, not overwhelming.
